In this episode we take a look at the adventurer. This is the type of person who typically travel and explores the physical world. Either to discover new unknown places or to travel to already known places but in new ways. It is a person who wants an extraordinary life.
The adventurer wants to challenge him or her self and push physical and mental limits.
This is what the Norwegian adventurer Thor Heyerdahl did in 1946 when he sailed on a balsa wood raft from Peru on the western coast of South America to the Polyneesian Islands in the Pacific ocean.
I visited the Kon-Tiki museum in Oslo Norway and met Reidar Solsvik, curator at the museum, who told me more about Thor Heyerdahl and what made him this archetypical adventurer.
